Today is Awesome!!!

Hello Everyone!

This week has been SO crazy.
Then end of the third marking period is coming up tomorrow, and I have lots of late work to make up.
This blog entry will be short because I need to focus on schoolwork.
This week has been awesome because I have had a chance to realize the cost of procrastination.
Procrastination is not a good habit to have.
This year, I am committed to breaking the habit of procrastinating.
Senioritus (sp?) exists.
During the third marking period, I handed in almost no assignments on time.
When progress reports came out, I realized just how far behind I was. As in, failing one class, in danger of failing maybe 2 others?
Reality sunk in.
This week, I have been up until at least 3 am in the morning. Which isn't all that bad... except that I've been waking up at 5 to get more work done.
I am committed to not failing my classes, and so are my teachers.
I am so lucky to have the teacher I do in my life.
In one of my classes, my teacher agreed to letting me hand in assignments that were over a MONTH due.
Senioritus exists.
This quarter, and especially this week, made me realize that it's important to stay on top of assignments.
After I found out how poorly I was doing in my classes, I started handing in more and more assignments on time.
Fourth quarter, senioritus shall not prevail.
I am committed to handing in every assignment on time, and starting assignements before they are due.
I am looking forward to the end of the third quarter.  Fourth quarter is a new start.
I'm ready to get a a line of straight A's as a representation of my last few months as a senior in high school.
Off to write many essays!
Today is Awesome because I'm pulling another all nighter in order to pass my classes.
Yeah. I'm happy about not getting any sleep.
I'm choosing to make this awesome because a day is as awesome as you make it, and Today is Awesome.  :)

Also, please submit designs.
I am requesting that everyone who reads this blog to submit a design. :)
It can even been made with cool technology things! :P
Have an awesome day everyone! :)

Today Is Aweome

Hello everyone!

My week has been pretty insane.
I've spent lots of time working out a way to make every situation a positive one.
I'm pretty behind in my school work, and I'm using it as a way to see why I need to stay ahead of schedule.
Figuring out how to plan out my time, has been an awesome experience.
I know that I can't get all of my late work done in one day so scheduling out time to work on late work has been a great learning experience.
Due to all my late work, I know my grades will not be up to my usual standards.
The acceptance process has been interesting.
I have realized that while my third quarter grades will not reflect what I am capable of, I know that I will use my last school quarter to show my teachers how much I can do.

I still have not received any submissions for the design contest.
In order to see if the design contest is of any interest to anyone, I am going to request that if you are thinking about submitting a design, please let me know via the Today Is Awesome email: todayisawesomeemail@gmail.com

I apologize for not having any videos up on AlwaysAwesomeDays.  I believe it is more important for me to hand in all my late work before I set up another network of awesomeness. Thank you for understanding. :)

Today is Awesome because I got to eat lunch and write this blog.  It’s the middle of the school day, and I am so happy to be writing during school, the time of day I find it most difficult to see as awesome.

Here are some tips I find useful to see class time as awesome:
1.      Put everything except materials on the subject away.  This mean, no phones, no side conversations, and no homework in class. Focus on the subject right in front of you.
2.      Love the way your teacher teaches a subject.  Trust me. I’ve had some teachers with teaching styles that did not work for me.  If you’re having trouble learning material, go and talk to you teacher. BE IN COMMUNICATION. But really, see you teachers teaching technique as a sign of dedication.  Teachers are there to help you.  All of the exams and notes and homework they give is a way for them to show that they want you to succeed.
3.      Sit next to someone who won’t be a distraction. Sometimes it isn’t the best idea to sit next to your best friend.  If your friend can be a reference to you at the same time not be a distraction, then that’s best.  It’s always nice to be next to someone who you can go to with immediate questions. Again, avoid distractions.
4.      Don’t get frustrated.  It’s not easy to look at a subject as awesome if you don’t understand it, but the important thing is to ask questions, and get involved if you don’t know the material.  Getting angry does not work, asking questions does.
5.      Get involved.  Participate in class.  It’s a great way to get participation points and at the same time, it keeps you concentrated on the subject.  For people who are shy and don’t like to participate, it’s an awesome way not to close up, and it gives you the opportunity to let your voice be heard.
6.      Finally, ASK QUESTIONS! I know I mentioned this earlier, but it really does make the class interesting.  Knowing the material helps keep a class interesting.  If you don’t know what’s going on, don’t be afraid to find out.

I hope these tips help make every day interesting, fun, and awesome.

A day is as Awesome as you make it and Today is Awesome.

Today is Awesome!

Hello everyone!

The newest addition to Today is Awesome's network of awesomeness is a Facebook page:
 http://www.facebook.com/pages/Today-is-Awesome/196425940459634

There are currently no photos on this page, and this must change!
Therefore, I would liked to introduce a design contest!
The contest is very straightforward:
Create a design or symbol that either says "Today is Awesome," or conveys awesomeness.

Designs will be posted to the Facebook page after I approve them.
Perhaps "contest" isn't the right word to use for this project.
I am more interested in seeing how people interpret "Today is Awesome" and "Awesomeness"
There will not be a winner or loser; all appropriate designs will be posted to the Facebook page to be appreciated for their awesomeness.

Please send all designs to Today is Awesome's e-mail:

todayisawesomeemail@gmail.com

I can't wait to see all of your amazing designs!!!!!

Today is Awesome because I sold tickets for my school play, and understood stuff in AP Music Theory.

A day is as awesome as you make it, and today is awesome.
